Tree Peony Root-Celebration (Ba Qian Dai Chun)

‘Celebration’ is a woody tree peony with large pink flowers that bloom in late spring. The blooms are full and ruffled, with layers of soft petals that give them a luxurious, almost velvet-like appearance. The shrub itself grows to about 3–4 feet tall and wide, with strong stems and lush green leaves that hold up well through the season. The leaves stay red through bloom time.

This peony is best planted in a spot with morning sun and afternoon shade, or filtered sunlight all day. It prefers well-drained soil and a little protection from strong wind, since the big blooms can be heavy. Give it space to grow—it’s a long-lived shrub that will reward you for decades with showstopping color.

This listing is for one peony bare root. It is not potted and is not a growing plant. Planting dormant roots in the fall allows the peony plant to grow lots of feeder roots over the cool months to feed lush top growth in the spring.
