Plant type: Itoh
Bloom type: Semi-double
Bloom time: Midseason
Peachy, blushy mix of colors on this gorgeous semi-double Itoh peony. Compact plants pump out blooms on my South Carolina farm. Itoh peonies have huge blooms, sturdy stems, and don't need staking. Longer bloom time compared to herbaceous peonies. Smaller size is perfect for flowerbeds and borders. 21-30" tall. Blooms late April in Upstate SC.
Peonies are perennials, and will need a space about 3' x 3'. They will usually begin blooming by the third year after planting. The roots we sell here have 3-5 eyes and are the same size and quality that I plant on my peony farm.
For planting information, please see Clemson University's Peony fact sheet or my own Peony Grower's Library.
