Peony Root-Sarah Bernhardt

Arguably the most iconic peony, Sarah Bernhardt is probably the one you think of first. Fully double and so so pink, there's a reason she's the queen. Blooms the first to second week of May on my farm in South Carolina. May need staking to support huge blooms on thinner stems. Appreciates afternoon shade. 

Peonies are perennials, and will need a space about 3' x 3'. They will usually begin blooming by the third year after planting. The roots we sell here have 3-5 eyes and are the same size and quality that I plant on my peony farm.
