Light yellow, huge flowers, so sweetly fragrant the bees can't stay away. Blooming just after coral varieties, Lemon Chiffon is early season sunshine. This variety is an exception to our rule of selling what does well on the farm. While the plants are good and healthy, many of the buds form in an open fashion that lets water and frost cause the center of the bloom to brown. A favorite in many other climates, I offer it here without a good endorsement for my own. If yours is drier than mine, you might give it a try.
Peonies are perennials, and will need a space about 3' x 3'. They will usually begin blooming by the third year after planting. The roots we sell here have 3-5 eyes and are the same size and quality that I plant on my peony farm.

Please read all the information below before ordering. Ordering will indicate that you understand and agree with this information.
This listing is for one peony bare root. It is not potted and is not a growing plant. Planting dormant roots in the fall allows the peony plant to grow lots of feeder roots over the cool months to feed lush top growth in the spring.
Please select shipping or pickup at checkout. Pickup at the farm is at the time and date listed on the Peony Root page. Shipped orders will arrive in October and November. These dates are subject to change due to supplier timelines. Please leave your email address at checkout and monitor it for updates.
This root has been grown on the farm and its variety has been verified. Refunds will only be made if it can be determined there's been a mistake on the part of The Peony Fields.
