The delicate watercolor pink and cream petals of Primevere make their appearance later in my season, blooming the first week of May or so. A floriferous variety, it's a tall lanky plant with stems on the thin side. But since the flowers are light, it holds itself up well. Anemone form.
Peonies are perennials, and will need a space about 3' x 3'. They will usually begin blooming by the third year after planting. The roots we sell here have 3-5 eyes and are the same size and quality that I plant on my peony farm.
For planting information, please see Clemson University's Peony factsheet or my own Peony Grower's Library.
Please read all the information below before ordering. Ordering will indicate that you understand and agree with this information.
This listing is for one peony bare root. It is not potted and is not a growing plant. Planting dormant roots in the fall allows the peony plant to grow lots of feeder roots over the cool months to feed lush top growth in the spring.
Please select shipping or pickup at checkout. Pickup at the farm is on the date shown on the Peony Root page. Shipped orders will arrive the first week of November. These dates are subject to change due to supplier timelines. Please leave your email address at checkout and monitor it for updates.
